A Wedgwood black basalts silver
mounted Tea Service, 19th Century,
comprising: Teapot, Sugar Basin and Jug,
each piece sprigged in black with laurel
swags, the silver mounts Sheffield 1856,
engraved with a crown above the monogram
M.F.S., impressed Wedgwood; also a Pair of
Wedgwood black basalts Cups and Saucers,
19th Century, sprigged with putty vignettes;
and a silver-plated circular Tray with pierced
gallery, bearing the same monogram and
retailer’s mark William Lewis.

A Pair of Coal port Jardinieres, circa 1861—70, each shaped oval body with tall scroll handles and pierced borders, supported on three square feet, painted with panels of fruit

and flowers reserved on a pink ground with gilded scrolling foliage, some chips and one crack, 17.5cm.; ampersand mark in gold.

An impressive Minton majolica Ewer, circa 1870, of classical form, the handle modelled as a satyr whose lower part extends into scrolling foliage, a similar figure of a female

beneath the spout, the body moulded with oval turquoise panels beneath a fruiting oak border applied with two horned grotesque masks, all picked out with typical majolica

glazes, wooden base, repair to handle, crack to body, 73.7cm.; 29m.    A similar example is illustrated in the Minton Exhibition Catalogue, Victoria and Albert Museum, 1976.

A Set of ten Derby Dessert Plates, circa 1820, each of gadroon shape, painted with a wide ‘Japan’ pattern border in Impair colours picked out in gilding, damage and

discolouration, 22.5cm.; red painted crowned crossed batons and ‘D’.

A Copeland Pariah Model of a greyhound, 2nd half 19th Century, reclining on a rectangular base with canted corners, front paw repaired, 29cm.; impressed Copeland    .

An English porcelain two-handled Vase, probably Coal port, 1830’s, adapted as a table lamp, the ovoid body applied in high relief with flowers, set with acanthus moulded

handles, gilt-metal mounts, chips, 24cm.

A Bloor Derby Dinner Plate, circa 1820-40, from a service made for the Earl of Shrewsbury, the crest within an elaborate gilt frame, the border finely painted with sprays of

fruit and foliage divided by single gilt insects, all reserved on a dark green ground, shaped gilt rim, two riveted hair-cracks, 26cm.; 10in. diam., red printed circle mark .

A Pair of English porcelain Candlesticks, circa 1830—40, each modelled as an alert sportswoman holding a gun and wearing a TRICOR hat, green jacket and gilt spotted yellow

skirt, before a gnarled tree encrusted with flowers and supporting a single candle sconce, scroll feet picked out in gilding, some damage and repair, 16.9cm.

mark in under glaze-blue.

A Robinson & Lead beater coloured Pariah Group titled ‘Little Neil and Her Grandfather’, late 19th Century, the elderly man seated on a rocky mound holding a Walking stick, the

girl seated below, a basket at her feet, oval titled base, very minor chips, 36cm.; impressed mark R & L.
