A pearl ware quintal Vase, early 19th Century, painted in under glaze-blue with a trailing spray of flowers, each ‘mouth’ molded and heightened in blue with acanthus, 17.5cm.;
A ‘Traditional’ pearl ware Toby Jug, circa 10, seated with a pipe and foaming jug, wearing brown coat, yellow waistcoat and knee breeches, chips, flaking enamels, 25cm.;
A brown stoneware Inkstand and
Well, circa 1840, possibly Brampton, the
low cylindrical sides applied with
repeated patriotic flower sprays of
shamrock and thistles centering on roses,
the flat top impressed Mrs. I. Bacon
within grooved borders converging on a
circle of five quill-holes about the
detachable well, chipped well, 15cm.; 6in.

A rare brown stoneware Bottle
and Stopper, mid-19th Century, in the
form of a ceremonial mallet, the domed
sides molded with cryptic devices about
a meeting of brothers about a table,
puffing pipes and pouring from a jug,
chips to stopper, 26cm.;
A Sunderland luster Jug, early
19th Century, the shouldered sides
fronted in black with ‘A west view of the room Bridge over the Wear’, the reverse with a ‘Memento Mori’, 19cm.;

with diamond motifs, raised on circular
molded base, restored, 19cm.;

Vestries as the broom girl, circa 1830,
after the lithograph by Lane, standing by a
bollard with two brooms in one hand,
another in the other, wearing puce
bodice and flower sprigged blue skirt, on
a square base outlined in yellow, restored,
16.1cm.;
Lucia Elizabeth Vestries nee Pestalozzi (1797-1856), an actress and singer, eventually went on to become the manager of Covent Garden and The Lyceum.
A salt-glazed stoneware
Moneybox, 1842, of shouldered ovoid
form, the sides sprigged with ivy,
fruiting vine and a group of putty above
a hunting frieze impressed George
Goodwin, 19th, 1842 beneath a
stepped circular knops, knops damaged,
15cm.; 6in.
A rare Frederick, Duke of York in memoriam porcelain Tea Cup and Saucer, circa 1815, each piece printed with a soldier mourning at the bannered tomb of the Duke, the cup with a
further vignette of Britannia in doleful pose.
A rare ‘Orangemen’
commemorative Jug, circa 1820, the
ovoid body color fully enameled with
two blue jacketed, yellow trouser
brothers shaking hands beneath the
crown ciphered G.i ., the other side with
the equestrian portrait of William III, all ^
within an orangey-red printed outline
under a meandering ruby luster border,
chip to rim, 14cm.;

Punch-Bowl, early 19th Century, the
centre printed in blue with overlapping
portrait busts of King and Queen
between the words A King Revered, a
Queen beloved and Long may they live
within six rose sprays under a complex
oriental brocade border, the exterior
decorated with four oriental landscapes,
stress crack, 28cm.; 11 in.
A Group of Princess Charlotte in memoriam tea wares, circa 1817, comprising: a Cup and Saucer, printed with an oval portrait of the Queen superimposed on a weeping willow within
ruby luster borders, and a Tea Cup with the apotheosis of the lamented Princess.
A King George IV in memoriam lusted earthenware Jug, circa 1830, the bombe sides finely printed with a portrait of the late King, a summary of his dates of accession, the Royal
coat-of-arms and patriotic flower sprays, all under a wash of ruby-color end luster, 11.8cm.; a Queen Caroline Milk Jug; and a Queen Caroline Coffee Can .
A William IV and Queen Adelaide Jug, circa 1831, of elaborate double ogee form, finely printed in puce with titled portraits of Their Gracious Majesties’ flanking the crowned
sprig of patriotic flowers, glued handle, 20.5cm.; and a William IV earthenware Mug.
Two William IV and Queen Adelaide Coronation Jugs, circa 1831, one printed in puce, the other in blue with crowned portraits of the King and Queen flanking the Order of the
Garter under a rim or patriotic flowers, one restored, the other chipped, 10.7 and 13.8cm.;

May 1819, proclaimed 20th of June 1837

flowers, inscribed in gilding D. Hooker,
