A Vienna porcelain Tea Canister
and Cover, circa 1844, the ribbed ovoid
body moulded in relief and painted with a
frieze of Oriental figures in a garden
inhabited by birds and insects that fly
above the bushes, the crown-shaped cover
painted with flowers and insects below the
pommel knop, minor chips and restoration,
15.5cm, impressed shield mark
and numerals.

A French porcelain Basin, 18th Century, possibly Chantilly, the broad shallow body painted in the centre with a Chinoiserie group of flowers clustered around a rock within a

wave moulded rim, painted with a border of smaller floral sprigs in underglaze-blue, 40.5cm.; 16in. diam., incised numeral ‘2′    ?300—400

all raised on a triangular scroll moulded
base picked out in gilding, minor chips, one
